Suspect to identify in a sexual assault in the city’s south end

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a man responsible for a sexual assault that occurred in the city’s south end.
Between 9:30pm on December 12th and 1:00am on December 13th, a man approached a woman and sexually assaulted her at the Billings Bridge OC Transpo station. He then left the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a black man, between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing black jeans, a black puffy jacket, brown and white boots, a black baseball cap with a white logo and a green backpack. The suspect is also wearing a black facemask (see photos).
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944.
