Suspect to identify in a West end sexual assault

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit is investigating an incident that occurred on October 24^th at a hotel in the West end of Ottawa.

In the early morning hours, a woman agreed to meet in-person with a man that she been in contact with on-line. Once at the hotel he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” (183 cm), with short red hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Investigators are concerned that the man may be targeting sex trade workers.
