Suspect to identify in Alta Vista area robbery

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking to identify a suspect involved in a commercial robbery on March 25^th in the 1500 block of Bank Street.

At approximately 11:00 pm, a lone suspect entered a store and took several items. While exiting, he was confronted by the security officer. The suspect assaulted him before fleeing the area on foot.

The security officer sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50-60 years old, 5’8” (173 cm), slender build, medium length dark-coloured hair and a grey/reddish beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue/grey jacket, blue pants, black boots, and a grey baseball cap (see photos).
