Suspect to identify in assault on Vanier Parkway near McArthur Ave

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigative Section is seeking witnesses to an assault that occurred on the southwest corner of the Vanier Parkway and McArthur Avenue intersection on May 6^th.

At approximately 9:30 pm, the suspect and victim had an interaction in which the suspect became aggressive and assaulted the victim and left them unconscious on the ground before fleeing the area on foot.

The victim sustained serious injuries.

The suspect is described as mid to late 40’s, with a heavier build, weighing approximately 220 lbs (101 kg). 

Anyone with information as to the identity of this suspect, dash camera video, or surveillance footage of this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigative Section at 613-236-1222 extension 5166.
