Suspect to identify in assault outside Rideau Centre

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in an assault that occurred at the Rideau Centre’s Entrance #2 on Thursday, October 3, just after 7 p.m.
After a verbal altercation, a physical altercation took place, and the suspect assaulted a man in his 60s.
The suspect is described as a man, aged 27-30, 5’10” (170 cm) tall, wearing blue hoodie, black jeans, black baseball cap, black Herschel backpack, and blue sneakers.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or with knowledge about this incident is asked to call the Central Criminal Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5166 (reference case number 24-268314).
