Suspect to identify in Bank St commercial robbery

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 300 block of Bank Street on February 23rd.
At approximately 2:30 pm, the lone suspect entered the store. He proceeded to the back of the store where he engaged in a conversation with a staff member. He then brandished a large knife and removed products from behind the counter. The suspect then fled the store on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 20-years-old, 110 to 120 lbs (50-54 kg), and 5’6” to 5’7” (168-170 cm) tall. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a black winter coat, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants with a black backpack. He was also carrying a red reusable shopping bag.
