Suspect to identify in Bank St. robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, March 6, 2024 10:30 am
(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 400 block of Bank Street on February 18th.
At approximately 2:50 pm, the lone suspect attended a commercial business, selected items and attempted to leave the store. When the suspect was confronted by a staff member, he assaulted them and fled the store on foot.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40’s, approximately 5’8” (173 cm) tall, medium build with a “salt and pepper” beard. During the incident he was wearing a black hooded jacket, with a dark green sweatshirt underneath, blue jeans, black shoes and a black ball cap.
