Suspect to identify in Bank Street commercial robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, February 24, 2020 12:20pm
(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a commercial robbery that occurred in the 400 block of Bank Street, on Sunday, February 9th , 2020.
At approximately 4:40pm a lone male entered a store, concealed a bottle of alcohol on his person and attempted to leave the store. The suspect was approached by staff and a struggle ensued. The suspect pulled a knife and the staff backed off. The suspect fled the scene on a bike.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 25-35 yrs old, approximately 5’8” (173cm), 150-160 lbs (68-73kg). He was wearing black shoes, blue jeans, black winter jacket, reading glasses, black backpack and a grey tuque (see photo.)
