Suspect to identify in Bank Street personal robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, April 8, 2020 10:10am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in a robbery, which occurred in the 200 block of Bank Street on Thursday, March 26th, 2020.
At approximately 8:40p.m., a person was walking down Bank Street when they were tackled from behind and robbed of their cell phone. The suspect fled the area. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, 20-25 years old, 5’9” (177cm), 175 lbs (79kg), slender build, with a black moustache and a long chin beard. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue sweatpants with white stripes, a blue winter hat with white lettering, black running shoes and dark glasses (see photos).
