Suspect to identify in Baseline Rd Robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, September 15, 2023 9:15 am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred on July 4 in the 1300 block of Baseline Road.
At approximately 9:10 pm, a male suspect, while attempting to exit the store with unpaid merchandise, assaulted multiple employees.
Shortly after, the suspect returned and assaulted another employee and then fled in a grey Mazda CX-5.
The employees sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as black, 5’10” – 6’0” (178-183 cm), heavy build, and facial hair.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo, a white t-shirt with a black Nike hooded sweater with a small white Nike logo, black pants, and white Crocs shoes.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who can identify this suspect or vehicle.
