Suspect to identify in ByWard Market area commercial break and enters

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Break and Enter Unit is requesting the public’s assistance to identify a suspect responsible for several commercial break and enters in the ByWard Market area.
In the last week of February 2022, several bars and restaurants were targeted after their closure by what Investigators believe to be the same individual. In all incidents, the suspect entered the businesses by breaking a window before leaving with alcohol and money.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 25-35 years old, 5’8” (173cm) to 5’10” (178cm) with a thin build. At the time, he was wearing a navy-blue tuque with orange lettering, black jacket, black pants and red, grey and white running shoes (see photos).
Anyone with information as to the identity of this individual or any break and enters is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 4533.
