Suspect to identify in Carling Avenue commercial Robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, May 1st, 2020 2:15pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a commercial robbery that occurred in the 1300 block of Carling Avenue, on April 20, 2020.
At approximately 2:42pm, a lone woman entered a store and approached the employee at the counter. The female suspect handed over a note demanding narcotics and money. She fled the scene on foot with an unspecified amount of medication and money.
The woman is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 30 years old, 5’6” (168cm), with a thin/slender build. She was wearing grey/white shoes, black pants, black gloves and a thin black jacket with a black hood pulled up and tied tight around her head. She was wearing black sunglasses and her face was covered with a black scarf. She was also carrying a distinctive multicoloured polka dot shopping bag with pink trims and handles (see photos).
