Suspect to identify in Centretown area Robberies
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, October 13, 2021 3:06pm
(Ottawa) — The Robbery Unit is looking for public assistance to identify a man involved in two robberies in the Centretown area on October 9th, 2021.
At approximately 2:00am, a lone man entered a business in the 400 block of Bank Street. At approximately 9:45am, the same man entered a business in the 1000 block of Wellington Street West.
In both robberies, the suspect threatened the cashier with a knife, demanding money. The suspect fled the area on foot, with an undisclosed amount of money, lottery tickets, and cigarettes.
No one was injured in these incidents.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 5’10” (178cm), wearing glasses, and has a moustache. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie, a red tuque, a black bandana covering his face, and black pants (see photos).
