Suspect to identify in Centretown Mischief

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate & Bias Crime Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a person responsible for a mischief to a religious institution in the 300 block of Somerset Steet W. on October 22nd, 2023.
At approximately 5:10 am, the suspect attended the front entrance of the building and caused mischief to the property.
The suspect is described as a white male, and was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie, black pants, black shoes, a baseball cap, and wearing a black backpack (see photos).
Anyone who witnessed the mischief or has any information about the incident is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service Hate Crime Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5015. Tips may also be sent electronically to hatebiascrime@ottawapolice.ca.
The Ottawa Police Service continues to encourage anyone who witnesses or experiences such incidents to report them to police.
