Suspect to identify in Chinatown assault

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in an assault near Bronson Avenue and Somerset Street W on December 27.
At approximately 3:20 pm, the suspect approached the victim, unknown to him, and assaulted him. The suspect then left the area on foot.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25-30 years old, 6’1” (185 cm), with a slim build. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a blue winter jacket, a Yukon style red fur lined winter hat, and white sneakers.
