Suspect to identify in Coventry Road retail robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, May 6, 2019 12:00pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery which occurred on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 1:07p.m. in the 300 block of Coventry Road.
A lone male suspect entered a store, stole merchandise and when confronted by the store employee, brandished a box cutter. The employee was not injured and the suspect fled the area.
Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, in his mid-thirties, 6’0-6’3 (183-191cm), large build with buzz cut black hair and a trimmed black beard. He was wearing a black jacket or hoodie, a grey quarter zip up top, black pants and red running shoes. He also has tattoos on both hands (see pictures).
