Suspect to identify in Hazeldean Road commercial robbery

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 500 block of Hazeldean Road on June 21st.
At approximately 8:30 pm, the lone suspect entered the store where he engaged in conversation with staff. He then made his way behind the counter, removed products and assaulted staff. The suspect then fled the store on foot. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man, ranging in age from mid-20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’6” (168 cm), slim build with a brown/black beard. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a dark-coloured baseball style hat, dark blue Adidas long sleeve hooded top, dark pants with black and white Under Armour running shoes (see photos).
