Suspect to identify in Merivale Road Robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, September 29, 2020 4:10pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is investigating a robbery that occurred on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in the 1500 block of Merivale Road.
At approximately 8:58pm, a man entered a store, asked one of the employees to open the till, when that was unsuccessful he proceeded to the cash register. The suspect shoved a female employee as she attempted to stop him from stealing an Uber Eats tablet. The suspect left the store with the tablet. Nobody was injured at the time.
The robbery suspect is described as a Caucasian man, in his 20’s, approximately 5’5" (165cm), blonde hair, and blue eyes. He was wearing a blue shirt, black shorts, black shoes with white around the edges of the soles, black gloves, black backpack with yellow colour in the interior, and a white patterned bandanna covering his face.
