Suspect to Identify in Montreal Road Bank Robbery

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man involved in a bank robbery in the 300 block of Montreal Road.
On September 7th at approximately 10:10 am, the suspect entered a bank business, brandished a knife, and demanded money.
The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s, 5’8”-5’9” (173-175 cm), with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black and grey jacket, jeans, sunglasses, and a green baseball hat “Oakland Athletics” with a yellow brim.
The suspect inadvertently discarded evidence at the scene, which will assist in his identification.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5116.
