Suspect to identify in Ogilvie Road Commercial Thefts
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, March 22, 2022 8:05 am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in two thefts that occurred at the same commercial business in the 2300 block of Ogilvie Road.
The first incident occurred at about 4:05pm on February 15th, 2022. The suspect concealed items on her person and when confronted by staff, the items were returned, and the suspect left the store.
The second incident took place on March 5th, 2022 at around 6:05pm. The suspect again concealed items on her person. When she tried to leave the store without paying, she was confronted by staff, who she assaulted. No one was injured and staff was able to recover the items.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian woman, 5’4” (164cm), approximately 120 lbs (54kg). She was last seen wearing jeans with holes, a green crop top with belly showing, and a brown/black jacket with hood. She was also wearing a black face mask. (see attached photos).
