Suspect to identify in online sales robberies
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance to identify a man involved in robberies and thefts in the west end of the city.
The suspect, in several incidents, has posed as a potential buyer for an item listed online for sale.
The suspect meets the seller, and then steals the item.
The items stolen range from iPhones to other electronic devices and have been posted for sale online through social media platforms, such as “Marketplace”.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his early to mid 20’s, between 5’10”-6’1” (178-185cm), with a thin build.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116.
