Suspect to identify in Richmond Road robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, December 15, 2020 9:30am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a man responsible for a commercial robbery that occurred on December 7th, 2020, in the 300 block of Richmond Road.
At approximately 12:00 pm a man entered a retail store, selected several clothing items and concealed them. When the suspect was questioned by staff members, he produced a can of bear spray and threatened the staff. He fled the area with the items.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’6” (168cm), with a heavy build. He was wearing black pants, a black and red North Face vest, a dark grey backpack, a baseball cap with a flat brim and gold logo (see photo).
