Suspect to identify in Rideau Street Robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 3:30 pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking to identify a suspect involved in a commercial robbery on April 15 in the 200 block of Rideau Street.
At approximately 2:00 pm, a lone male entered a store and concealed products on him.
A staff member approached the suspect, and a struggle ensued. The suspect assaulted the staff member and fled the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35-40 years old, with a dark complexion and approximately 6’ 0” (183 cm).
He was last seen wearing squared sunglasses, a tuque, a dark-coloured hooded top, dark pants, white sandals, and white socks. The suspect spoke English with a slight accent.
