Suspect to identify in robbery on an OC Transpo bus
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to identify an individual involved in a robbery that occurred on June 29th on an OC Transpo bus.
The suspect boarded the bus on route 85 in the Hull (Gatineau) area and at approximately 11:40 pm the victim and suspect exchanged a few words. Soon after the suspect took a knife out and demanded belongings from the victim. The victim alerted others and the bus stopped on Preston Street. The suspect quickly exited the bus and walked westbound on Oak Street.
There were no reported injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, early 30’s, and heavy set. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black track pants with a white stripe along the sides, a black baseball cap, a grey backpack and glasses.
