Suspect to identify in sexual assault on Elgin Street

Ottawa – The Ottawa Police Service Central District Investigations Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a sexual assault that occurred on June 26th in the 100 block of Elgin Street.
At approximately 10:30 pm the female victim was walking on Elgin Street when the male suspect walked past and grabbed her buttocks while yelling obscenities towards her. The suspect then continued walking Northbound on Elgin Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 45 years old, slim build, 5’8” (173 cm), shoulder length dark blond hair and unshaven. He was seen wearing a light-coloured short sleeve-shirt and cardigan, khaki pants, black running shoes with white soles. He spoke with a deep, hoarse voice.
