Suspect to identify in South end residential break and enter

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Break and Enter Unit is requesting the public’s assistance to identify a suspect responsible for a residential break and enter in the 5000 block of Bank Street.
On May 19th at approximately 12:30 pm, a suspect broke into a residential garage located in the 5000 block of Bank Street, stealing a chainsaw.
He fled in a dark grey 2004 to 2009 Volkswagen Golf that was missing the logo on the front grill (see photos).
He is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 5’2” (157 cm), average build, brown hair. He was wearing glasses, a light-coloured Toronto Raptors baseball cap, an orange hoodie and black pants (see photos).
Anyone with information regarding this break & enter, or any other break & enter, is asked to call the Ottawa Police’s Break & Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 3435.
