Suspect to identify in stabbing incident on Rideau Street
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, February 27, 2024 11:15 am
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Section is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a stabbing incident in the 100 block of Rideau Street on February 20th.
At approximately 10:40 pm, the victim and the male suspect engaged in an argument inside a commercial establishment. The suspect then left the store. When the victim exited the store the suspect approached and stabbed him.
The victim sustained serious injuries.
The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, in his twenties with a slim build and facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a shiny black, blue and white winter jacket, dark pants, and black shoes with white laces and glasses.
