Suspect to identify in Ste Anne Avenue personal robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, December 7, 2020 3:00pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in a robbery in the 200 block of Ste Anne Avenue on Monday, November 9th, 2020.
At approximately 9:20p.m., a man was walking down Ste. Anne Avenue when he was confronted by two men. The suspects brandished a hammer and a sharp object and robbed the man in a targeted attack. The suspects fled the area on foot.
The victim sustained injuries, was treated at hospital and released. One of the suspects has been identified while the other remains unknown.
The unidentified suspect is described as an Indigenous man, in his early twenties, slender build, 6’0 to 6’1 (183-186cm), 170 lbs (77 kg), with bleached blonde/dyed longer hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured Roots sweatshirt, white running shoes and was carrying a dark-coloured satchel (see photos).
