Suspects to identify in Cumberland Street Robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, December 12th 2023 12:30 pm
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for public assistance to identify three suspects in a Swarming robbery on Cumberland Street which occurred overnight on October 30th, 2023.
At approximately 12:44 am, a food delivery employee was driving on Cumberland Street when he was tackled off his scooter. The male suspect began to assault the victim and shortly afterward two more suspects engaged in the assault (see video).
The suspects stole the victim’s electric scooter and fled the area. A few minutes later, two of the three suspects were captured on surveillance cameras at an apartment building on King Edward Avenue.
The suspect are described as:
- #1 white male, hair in a bun on the top of his head, dark clothing carrying a light-coloured backpack (see photo);
- #2 white male, tall, dark jacket, blue jeans and a red hoodie (see photo);
- #3 male, wearing blue jeans and an orange construction vest (no photo available).
