Suspects to identify in multiple September arsons
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, October 24, 2024 2:30 pm
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit is seeking public assistance to identify two suspects involved in multiple arsons on September 6th and 7th.
On September 6th and 7th, the suspects started fires in the following areas:
- September 6th at 8:21 pm in the 1600 block of Bank Street inside a restaurant;
- September 6th at 10:29 pm in the 1400 block of Walkley Road inside an outdoor dumpster;
- September 6th at 11:50 pm in the 3300 block of Paul Anka Drive inside an outdoor dumpster; and
- September 7th at 6:50 am in the 2400 block of Bank Street inside an outdoor dumpster.
The two suspects are described as white males, between the ages of 40 and 50 years, both have stocky builds with short, white or balding hair.
One suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, black running shoes and camo shorts. The other was wearing a black t-shirt, black running shoes and black shorts (see photos).
