Suspects to identify in relation to theft of jewellery

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police West Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking the public’s help to identify two male suspects in relation to theft of jewellery in the Bayshore area.
On December 2, 2019at approximately 1400 hrs, a lone male suspect attended a jeweller’s at the Bayshore mall and spoke with an employee regarding engagement rings. The suspect attempted to grab two engagement rings out of the employee’s hand however was unsuccessful. The suspect then fled the mall.
A short time later, at 1657 hrs, the same suspect attended the same jeweller’s with a second male suspect. They smashed a glass display case, took four engagement rings and fled the mall in a newer model white Nissan Sentra with winter rims. The vehicles plates were concealed.
The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 20’s, medium build with shoulder length curly blonde hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, a black parka and black Adidas NMD shoes with Equality on the top (see photos.)
The second suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 20’s with a medium build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black zip up hoodie, dark pants and grey shoes (see photos.)
