Suspects to identify in South Keys Armed Robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, January 14, 2021 11:30am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify two men responsible for a commercial armed robbery that occurred on November 14th, 2020, in the 2400 block of Bank Street.
At approximately 7:00 pm, two men entered the store, pretending to be clients. At one point, one of the men pulled a handgun from his bag and proceeded to steal money from the till. They then proceeded to the back of the store with the employees and stole several cell phones before leaving on foot.
The first suspect is described as a black man, 5’8” to 5’9” (173 to 175cm), 160 to 165 lbs (73 to 75kg). He was wearing an Adidas jacket/sweater with long sleeves, black hood, three white stripes on both sleeves with writings on the front, grey sweat baggy jogging pants, black running shoes with white around the edge of the soles, white gloves and a black mask covering nose and mouth. He was carrying a black and red gym bag and was armed with a handgun (see photo).
The second suspect is described as a black man, 5’10” to 6’ (178 to 183cm), 170 to 180 lbs (77 to 82kg). He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, white running shoes, white gloves, and a blue surgical mask (see photo).
