Suspects to identify in Woodroffe Avenue explosion/break and enter
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, December 30, 2020 12:08pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police West Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to identify two people responsible for an explosion and a subsequent break and enter that occurred on October 10th, 2020 in the 2900 block of Woodroffe Ave.
At approximately 12:45am, at least two people attended a strip mall. The suspects created an explosion to blow the door off the front of a bank machine in order to access a large amount of currency held within. The explosion caused extensive damage to the targeted business and two adjacent businesses.
Police are looking for any information which may lead to the identities of the suspects involved.
Here is a limited description of two of the suspects involved, there are no photos available:
- The first suspect was wearing dark pants, white shoes and was dragging something, possibly a large bag.
- The second suspect was wearing dark pants, dark shoes or boots and was carrying some sort of hose.
