Three people charged in Orleans kidnapping and robbery; police seeking further victims

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection with a recent kidnapping, robbery and extortion incident that occurred in October.
On October 21st, the victim, a youth, was picked up by a suspect and driven to a residence in Orleans. The victim was confined to the residence, assaulted and filmed as the accused individuals demand money.
The next day, the victim was able to escape and alert someone to call police.
On October 25th, the Robbery Unit arrested and charged a 17-year-old in connection with the incident.
On November 13th a search warrant was executed on the Orleans residence. As a result of the search, evidence supported charging two additional individuals. They were arrested the same day.
Stephanie PERRON, a 35-years-old woman, of Ottawa has been charged with:
- Forceable confinement
- Kidnapping
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
- Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
- Possession of child pornography
- Sexual assault with a weapon
- Sexual exploitation of a young person
- Robbery
Faith MANZONZIKA, a 20-year-old man, of Ottawa has been charged with:
- Forceable confinement
- Kidnapping
- Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
- Possession of child pornography
- Sexual assault with a weapon
- Robbery
- Breach of probation
A 17-year-old, of Ottawa, who cannot be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Kidnapping
- Forceable confinement
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
- Possession of child pornography
- Breach of probation
- Failure to comply with a sentence
At this time the investigation is continuing, and further criminal charges may be laid. Investigators are concerned that there may be other victims.
There is a publication ban in effect; and as such the Ottawa Police will not provide further details on this matter.
