Three recent shootings ongoing investigations: seeking witnesses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, March 23, 2021 2:15pm
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating three shootings that occurred in the City between March 19th to March 22nd.
On March 19th at approximately 12:45pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call about gunshots heard in the area of McArton and Ahston Station Roads. Responding officers noted that the rural mailbox of the complainant had been shot at and a shell casing was found. Nobody was injured during that incident.
On March 21st at approximately 6:00pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call about gunshots heard in the area of St-Laurent Boulevard and Thurston Drive. That same day at approximately 7:00pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to another call about gunshots heard in the area of Richmond and Assaly Roads. In both incidents, responding officers found shell casings but no property damage, and no one was injured.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about any of these incidents.
