Two shooting investigations: April 24

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, April 25, 2023   11:15 am

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred yesterday April 24^th.

At approximately 3:30 pm, officers responded to the 300 block of Bronson Avenue in response to shots fired. Shell casings were recovered. No injuries were reported.

At approximately 6:30 pm, officers attended the 200 block of Janet Way in response to a shooting. Officers located an 18-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, it remains unknown if the two incidents are related.
