(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service arrested wanted person Michael BUCKLEY on September 4th, 2020, after he had turned himself in to the Toronto Police Service. He was charged with 1st degree murder.

One man wanted in relation to Richmond Road Homicide
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect in relation to the shooting death of Jonathan Wite on Richmond Road last month.
Michael BUCKLEY, 29 years old, is wanted for 1st degree murder. He is considered armed and dangerous. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued (no photo available).
Today, Dwayne YOUNG, 35 years old, turned himself in to the Toronto Police Service. He is also charged with 1st degree murder.
Should anyone have any information regarding their current whereabouts, please do not approach them; call 9-1-1 immediately.

Homicide investigators are looking for any available surveillance video that nearby residents may have at hand or dash cam footage from any motorists that travelled on Grenon Avenue between 11pm on Thursday August 20, 2020 to 1am on Friday, August 21, 2020.

The three persons of interest are seen in separate photos:
- Photo # 1 shows 1st male to identify;
- Photo # 2 & #3 show 2nd male to identify;
- Photo # 4 shows female to identify (identified).

Homicide investigation on Richmond Road
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit continues to investigate the shooting death of a 23 year old man that occurred in the 2800 block of Richmond Road on Friday, August 21st, at approximately 12:10 am.
The victim has been identified as Jonathan Wite, 23 years old, of Ottawa.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5493.
In recent weeks, OPS has increased the visible, uniformed police presence in the area. This week, the new Bayshore Neighbourhood Resource Team, originally scheduled for deployment in October, was put in place.
These resources will remain in the area and the officers will continue to work with community partners and stakeholders to address community safety issues.
