Update: suspect identified in Montreal Road robbery

(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit would like to thank the public for its help in identifying the suspect in the January 14, 2020 armed robbery on Montreal Road.
The man has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Suspect to identify in personal robbery on Montreal Road
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect regarding an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at approximately 9:05am.
A woman was waiting for a bus near the intersection of Montreal Rd and Vanier Parkway when she was approached by a male suspect and a female accomplice. The suspects produced a weapon and demanded the victim hand over her property. The suspects fled the area once the victim handed over her personal property. The victim was not injured.
The suspects subsequently attended several businesses in the area and fraudulently used the victim’s credit card to make purchases.
The male suspect is described as Caucasian, average build with greying and balding short dark hair, short dark beard. He was wearing a black winter jacket with red & white logo on the left chest, thin white or reflective stripe on sleeves and back, a black hooded sweater, dark grey pants, white socks, dark shoes with a white logo (similar to Nike swoosh) and a white baseball cap (see photos).
The female suspect, Christiane TESSIER, 37 years old, was arrested on January 31, 2020 and remains in custody at this time.
Investigators are also looking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
