Vehicle of Interest to identify in Elmira Drive homicide

(Ottawa) – The Homicide Unit is seeking public tips and information about a vehicle of interest in the murder of 16-year-old John Ndayishimiye on Elmira Drive on December 6th, 2021.
Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who saw the blue Ford F-150 (see photos) in the area of Cobden, Iris, Baseline and Woodroffe, between 1:00 and 4:00a.m., on December 6.
Police would also like to speak with anyone, that was in these areas during that period, and has dashcam or video surveillance footage.

Homicide Investigation on Elmira Drive continues -- police seeking public tips
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting homicide of a 16-year-old teenager at a home in the 2200 block of Elmira Drive overnight.
Police attended the home after receiving a call for service at approximately 3:16am today; and located the deceased youth, who has been identified as John Ndayishimiye.
A second 16-year-old teen was also found at scene with non-life threatening injuries; and he was treated by Ottawa Paramedic Service and transported to a local hospital.
The area was canvassed by responding officers and the investigation continues. There is no suspect in custody at this time.
Investigators believe that the shooting was targeted and not a random act. There are no public safety concerns for the community.
