Wilshire Avenue shooting investigation -- police seeking witnesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, February 21, 2022     1:30pm

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting at a home that occurred on February 19^th, 2022 in the 200 block of Wilshire Avenue.

At approximately 3:00am, officers located an injured man at a local hospital after receiving a call indicating that someone had been shot. The man’s injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital in stable condition.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time or those who have dashcam or security video footage.
