Witness to identify -- animal cruelty incident in Riverside South

(Ottawa) —The East Criminal Investigations Section is seeking to identify a witness to an animal cruelty incident, as part of an ongoing animal abuse investigation.

In the evening of Sunday, May 23^rd, a young man (early 20s) witnessed and intervened when an older man was seen engaging in animal abuse acts outside a home near Summerhill Park.

Police would like to speak with the witness who may have further information about the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the witness is asked to contact Ottawa Police East Criminal Investigations Section Det. Jennifer Biondi at 613-236-1222 ext. 3566.
