Woman charged in relation to multiple Arsons
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, October 21, 2024 3:45 pm
(Ottawa) — On Thursday October 17th, 2024 the Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit charged Cassandra Mary JODOIN, 41-years-old, of Ottawa in relation to numerous fires that occurred in the ByWard Market, Lower Town and Sandy Hill over the last month (see map).
The charges are as follows:
- Arson Disregard for Human Life x3
- Arson Damage to Property x10
- Possess Incendiary Materials x10
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 x2
Ms. JODOIN appeared in court on October 17th, 2024 and was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The Arson Unit expects to lay further charges.
