Chorus
The Ottawa Police Chorus (OPC) is a four-part harmony chorus which reflects the multicultural community served by the Ottawa Police Service. OPC includes serving and retired officers as well as members of the community, brought together by their love of music and community service.
When the chorus was founded in 1972, Chief Leo Seguin envisioned a chorus whose mission would be to enhance the image of the Ottawa Police Service through song.
Today, OPC sings a varied repertoire that includes classical, contemporary and everything in between.
Where do we sing?
Every September, we are privileged to stand on the steps of steps of Parliament Hill with over 150 singers from other Police Choruses from across Canada to honour the sacrifice of fallen officers at the Canadian Police and Peace Officer’s Memorial.
We also perform at various venues and events that include police functions, cultural celebrations, Remembrance Day ceremonies and visits to retirement homes.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? Do you secretly enjoy singing and can you carry a tune? Ready to make the transition from shower to stage?
Join the Ottawa Police Chorus and share your talents in service of our community. We invite soprano, alto, tenor and bass singers to attend a rehearsal and see if OPC is a musical fit.
We are fortunate for our talented and extensively trained leadership, with Carla MacGregor as our Director and Carol Gurofsky as our Accompanist.
