Diversity Resource and Relations

The Diversity Resource and Relations (DRR) Unit serves a support function within the Ottawa Police Service that contributes to fair, equitable, and inclusive community policing in Ottawa.

The DRR Unit is designed to ensure that the police respond effectively, appropriately, and sensitively to all members of the community, particularly those who have traditionally been marginalized.

Save the Date! Ottawa Police Diversity Celebration

Date: Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Location: 474 Elgin St, front entrance

Time: 4pm-7pm

The Ottawa Police Diversity Resource and Relations Unit invites all diverse communities within the Ottawa area to participate in the 2025 OPS Diversity Celebration.

Community groups interested in participating can download an application form and return it to [email protected].

Each community being represented is encouraged to provide a ‘snapshot’ of their diversity during the celebration. This may involve displaying information, providing samples of foods and/or providing entertainment.

If you have any questions please contact the Ottawa Police Diversity Resource and Relations Unit.

We look forward to seeing you there!
